Burrowing Owls are the avian stars of Scottsdale Community College. They are virtually guaranteed to be seen here and are very charismatic. The well-landscaped campus holds a variety of other birds as well. Mountain Bluebird and Bendire’s Thrasher were around last winter. We will then head to the nearby Rousseau Sod Farm, where we will bird mostly by car and brief roadside stops. We will be in search of meadowlarks, pipits, longspurs and raptors.
