A tour through 4 of North Phoenix’s parks (Deer Valley Park, Buffalo Ridge Park, Roadrunner Park, Sweetwater Park). We’ll observe the similarities and differences between the habitats of each park, while contemplating the importance of these critical stopover points for migratory bird species. This late March trip may be a good chance to catch some early warblers, and maybe even some other early northward migrants working their way to their breeding grounds, all while helping gather the data that fuels conservation science.
