Maricopa Audubon and Sonoran Audubon are teaming up to host a field trip out East at the Gilbert Riparian Preserve. This is a birding hotspot and a great place to see native, rare, and migrating birds. There will be two sessions. One at 8:00 am and another at 9:30am.
The field trip is located at the Gilbert Water Ranch/Riparian. There is parking in the main lot off of Guadalupe RD or overflow parking in the library lot next door. We will be meeting at the entrance sign to the Riparian which is located just off of the main parking lot.
The Difficulty is 1.Mostly flat ground but not paved. Bring water and have your good walking shoes on.
This will be a great introductory trip about an hour long. We will be handing out maps for the park so you can choose to stay a bit longer and practice your skills at one of the most popular birding locations in the valley.
If you have any questions feel free to email Karen at [email protected]
Excited to see you there!
